Make the most of late Summer
** You can book for any of these courses and receive all the content to work through it at your own pace.
We are at the time of year when the days are long in the Northern Hemisphere. Around the Summer Solstice is a good time for learning - we tend to have more energy and enthusiasm this time of year.
These three mini courses (6 weeks long) run from early September to mid October. Each course is on a topic I have recently deeply delved into, in my own practice. And benefited from. A lot of the content has been tried and tested by me and my students over the years.

Restorative Yoga:
Embrace Rest
Wednesdays 6 - 7.15pm UK time
~ 4th Sept to 9th Oct
What gets in the way of you slowing down when you need to? What are your resistances to resting? Awareness can point the way to conscious choices to live and rest differently. If you need a change of pace at least some of the time but struggle to make this type of self-care a priority, then this is the course for you. There will also be plenty of tips and techniques that you can utilise to embed what you are learning into your daily life. The course incorporates weekly tips, tools and bitesize practices to:

-
Reset your nervous system
-
Move from wired and tired to rested and thriving
-
Enjoy deep, nourishing rest
-
Learn ways to gently energise yourself in a holistic way
-
Sleep better
-
Feel better
This restful and trauma-sensitive course is informed by all of my embodiment practices (yoga, meditation, Yoga Nidra and Feldenkrais especially) and my experiential understanding of the polyvagal theory, trauma and how human nervous systems operate in a potentially overwhelming world.
Movement Medicine:
Balance Your Body
Thursdays 9.45 - 11am UK time
~ 5th Sept to 10th Oct
This mini course is about moving to restore a healthy balance in your body and in your life. think of balance in the widest sense of the word: from standing on one leg; between flexibility and strength (physically and mentally); to balancing the two hemispheres of the brain; to work-life balance and balancing resting and doing. The course may:

-
Improve your life, waking and sleeping
-
Make everything you do a little bit easier
-
Change everyday postures for the better (for example, how you sit at your desk, do your gardening, etc).
-
Potentially reduce pain in the body
-
Contribute to healing or living more easily with chronic health challenges
This experiental movement course is inspired by my 20+ years practising yoga and teaching for 15 years, my work in embodiment, my own practice of Feldenkrais and conscious dance activity. All the practices are non-athletic and adaptations can be made for most bodies most of the time.
